An aircon chemical wash is a deep cleaning process that uses a specialised alkaline-based detergent to remove bacteria, mould, and grime from your aircon’s internal components. Unlike a regular aircon servicing in Singapore, a chemical wash targets the evaporator coil, fan blower, and drainage tray — the parts where bacteria and mould thrive in Singapore’s humid climate.

Over time, these components accumulate layers of dirt and biological growth that a normal dry cloth or vacuum cannot remove. This build-up restricts airflow, reduces cooling efficiency, causes bad odours, and can trigger respiratory issues for your family.

Non-Dismantle Chemical Wash ($80-$100/unit)

Best for units that receive regular servicing every 3-4 months. The technician cleans the evaporator coil, fan blower, and drainage tray using chemical solution without removing the indoor unit from the wall. This is faster (30-45 minutes) and sufficient for units with moderate dirt build-up.

Full-Dismantle Chemical Overhaul ($130-$180/unit)

Recommended for units not serviced in over 6 months, or units with severe bacterial contamination, persistent bad smells, or reduced cooling. The entire indoor Fan Coil Unit (FCU) is removed from the wall and each component — evaporator coil, fan blower, drainage tray, and housing — is individually soaked and cleaned with chemical solution.
